The Semi-Automatic Digital Penetrometer Apparatus is used to determine the moisture content of clayey floors when changing from plastic to liquid and also to determine the undrained shear strength.
It consists of a cast-iron bottom table with cone penetrometer adjustment screws, digital penetration measurement indicator with 0.01mm precision, a release button, and an automatic reset button.
The adjusted threaded screw system is supplied with adjustment screws and spirit level. The head can be fixed at the desired height. A rack, pinion, and pointer group enable fine adjustment of the tapered tip.
It contains a gripping mechanism that allows penetration reading and can then perform the reset process simply and precisely.
Cone Penetrometer for Liquid Limit is supplied with an Automatic Control Unit that automatically releases the plunger with a magnetic device, vertically adjusted micrometer, and adjustable electronic timer for falling time.
The penetrometer is equipped with a digital timer that can be set to a standard 5 second free fall time or another setting for customized tests.
When the timer is activated, it allows the needle to fall freely into the sample for a certain period of time and then prevents the needle from advancing while allowing the test results to be read directly.
For shear strength tests, 320 g weight should be added to the 30 ° penetration cone to obtain a total weight of 400 g.
The electronic timer allows the user to adjust the needle falling time and to see this time during the test.
