OVERVIEW

Developed by National Center for Asphalt Technology (NCAT) the USA as an alternative to the then existing methods such as solvent extraction and Nuclear methods. In 1996 use of solvent extraction was banned in the United States of America. Solvent extraction method uses solvents that are carcinogenic, hazardous to human beings and environment.4000g sample capacity, integrated +0.1gm accuracy weighing scale, High-temperature ceramic filtration system, and afterburner for accurate measurement of bitumen content in asphalt mixes.
